When should you arrive at the airport check in counters?

It is important to arrive on time to allow sufficient time for security checks.  All passengers  must undergo security screening‚ including those who completed online check in or are not checking baggage.

 

Online Check in

  • For flights departing from the following destinations: Sofia‚ Paphos‚ Rhodes‚ Mykonos‚ Karpathos‚ and Crete - Heraklion‚ all passengers must visit the check in counters even if they are not checking baggage
  • Online check in opens 48 hours before departure and closes 4 hours before departure. It is recommended to check in from home to save time at the airport
  • During online check in‚ you may select a seat for a fee‚ or allow the system to automatically assign an available seat - free of charge
  • During check in‚ you will be required to enter your passport details. Please have your passport ready and ensure you have all required travel documents and visas for your destination (if applicable)
  • After check in‚ you will receive your boarding pass by email with your selected seat or another available seat. No need to print it

Important Information

  • Check in cannot be cancelled once completed
  • No changes can be made to the booking after check in
  • For domestic flights‚ you may present a valid ID card or driver’s license
  • Tourists arriving in Israel from visa-exempt countries must complete an ETA-IL form prior to arrival. More information about ETA-IL
  • Even if you checked in online‚ plan your arrival time to allow for security screening‚ border control‚ and perhaps time for a coffee before departure
  • To check baggage into the aircraft hold (for an additional fee)‚ arrive according to the recommended airport time and proceed to the check in counters (yes‚ even if you checked in online). Your baggage will be tagged and sent to the aircraft
  • If any approval is required for travel – such as a medical certificate for pregnant passengers or a notarized consent for traveling with a minor – it is your responsibility to have the documentation ready and present it if requested
  • Most importantly: arrive at the boarding gate exactly at the time indicated on your boarding pass
